Congress Planning “Samvidhan Bachao Yatra”

The announcement of these appointments comes after the Congress party’s meeting on Wednesday, where discussions about upcoming initiatives were held.

  • Chaired by Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, the meeting laid out plans for the launch of the “Samvidhan Bachao Yatra” at state, district, and block levels.

  • He also mentioned preparations for the 2025 AICC session to be held in Gujarat in the first fortnight of April.

Congress’ Preparations for 2025

Jairam Ramesh also spoke about the party’s organizational reforms and plans to strengthen the District Congress Committees (DCCs) as part of the ongoing revitalization effort. The Samvidhan Bachao Rashtriya Yatra is expected to be a key part of the party’s agenda leading up to the 2025 elections.

Challenges in Delhi Elections

Despite these steps, Congress faced a setback in the recent Delhi assembly elections, failing to open their account for the third consecutive term. The results, declared on February 8, highlighted the party’s struggle in the national capital. The new appointments and initiatives signal the Congress’ focus on revitalizing its grassroots presence and addressing challenges ahead.
