Compensation For Jewar Airport Land Acquisition Increased

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced an increase in compensation for farmers whose land is being acquired for the Jewar Airport project. The compensation rate has been revised from ₹3,100 per square meter to ₹4,300 per square meter, according to an official state government statement.

    • A Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) link to the airport is under proposal with the Government of India.
    • Plans include developing a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) hub near the airport, making Jewar a global center for aircraft servicing.
