Washington [US], April 4 – British rock band Coldplay has teamed up with Belgian artist Stromae and French singer Pomme for a powerful new version of their hit song “Ma Meilleure Ennemie”—a standout track from Arcane Season 2, Netflix’s critically acclaimed League of Legends animated series, The Hollywood Reporter revealed.
The extended version of the song, now also featuring vocals from Palestinian-Chilean artist Elyanna, was released on Friday as part of the updated Arcane Season 2 soundtrack by Riot Games and Virgin Music Group.
Originally composed for the emotional storyline of characters Ekko and Powder, the song—translated as “My Best Enemy”—has already surpassed 335 million streams on Spotify, making it the second-most-streamed Arcane track after Imagine Dragons and JID’s iconic “Enemy” from Season 1. The full Season 2 soundtrack has racked up over 1.5 billion streams since its release last November.
In a joint statement, Coldplay expressed their admiration for the collaboration:
“We love Stromae and Pomme and we love the beautiful song that they wrote for Ekko and Powder. It’s an honor to contribute to this new version and to the Arcane and League of Legends universe.”
The expanded soundtrack includes eight additional new tracks, including:
- A demo of “Fantastic” by King Princess
- A remix of “Come Play” by Stray Kids, Young Miko, and Tom Morello
- A BloodPop remix of Ashnikko’s “Paint the Town Blue”
Arcane, known for its blend of rich storytelling, animation, and music, continues to resonate with fans across the globe—now further elevated by Coldplay’s latest musical touch.
