CM Siddaramaiah Hails Operation Sindoor As Decisive Blow To Terrorism, Affirms Karnataka’s Full Support

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has lauded the Indian Armed Forces for their precision strikes under Operation Sindoor, terming them a “decisive blow to cross-border terrorism”. He emphasized that the state of Karnataka stands firmly behind the central government and the Indian military in their mission to safeguard national security.

In a strong statement, Siddaramaiah said:

“Our soldiers have shown extraordinary courage by hitting terror hubs inside enemy territory. These strikes send a clear message—India will retaliate fiercely. Pakistan’s continued support to militants left us with no choice.”

Commending the Armed Forces

The Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, in a coordinated action, struck nine terror targets—four in Pakistan (including Muridke, Bahawalpur, and Sialkot) and five in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). These included camps known to have trained high-profile terrorists such as Ajmal Kasab and David Headley, both of whom were linked to the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh confirmed the success of the operation, stating that all targeted camps were destroyed without civilian casualties. Col Sofiya Qureshi also showcased footage of the destroyed sites, affirming the success of strikes in Kotli, Barnala, and Mehmoona Joya.

National Unity and Political Maturity

CM Siddaramaiah underlined the importance of national unity in the face of terrorism, stating:

“This is not the time for politics but for standing together as Indians. Our forces executed the mission flawlessly, targeting only terrorists. The world knows Pakistan shelters terrorism. India’s strikes were justified and necessary.”

In a gesture of solidarity, a planned protest in Raichur was called off, highlighting a collective sense of responsibility and restraint across the state in light of ongoing national security developments.

Karnataka on High Alert

The Chief Minister added that Karnataka is closely coordinating with the Centre and security agencies. The state has ramped up security across vital installations and public spaces following a Red Alert declared in several regions after the operation.

“We are vigilant, and citizens should remain calm,” Siddaramaiah said, urging people to trust the state’s preparedness.

Operation Sindoor: Context and Strategic Impact

Launched in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which killed 26 civilians (including a Nepali national), Operation Sindoor is being seen as India’s most significant military strike inside Pakistani territory since the 1971 war.

According to Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, the April 22 attack aimed to derail peace efforts in Jammu and Kashmir. Operation Sindoor was India’s resolute answer to those intentions.

Conclusion

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s strong endorsement of Operation Sindoor and assurance of Karnataka’s support reinforces a united national front against terrorism. The operation not only reflects India’s growing military precision and intelligence capabilities, but also serves as a stern warning to any entity that sponsors or harbors terror against India.

With PM Modi at the helm and NSA Ajit Doval coordinating the operation overnight, India has once again demonstrated that it will not hesitate to act decisively in defense of its people.
