Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 29: Acclaimed choreographer Ranju Varghese has reunited with Ajay Devgn for the much-anticipated film Raid 2, set to hit theaters this week. Known for his impactful choreography, Varghese is behind the chartbuster tracks ‘Kamle’ and ‘Tumhe Dillagi’, both of which feature Ajay Devgn and Vaani Kapoor.
For Varghese, this film feels like a special reunion with Devgn, as they’ve worked together on several successful films, including Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Total Dhamaal, and Helicopter Eela. Reflecting on their professional and personal bond, Varghese shared, “This film felt like a reunion for me. We’ve collaborated on so many films, and I share a close relationship with Ajay sir. He is incredibly humble, a great actor, and a person with a heart of gold.”
The songs in Raid 2 have quickly become popular hits in Bollywood. Varghese opened up about his experience working on the tracks, especially the distinct choreography required for each song. “When I received a call from Panorama Studios, I was excited because the film had two songs with completely different styles. We shot one of the sequences in a single take with Vaani Kapoor, who was a delight to work with, as it was my first time collaborating with her. Both Ajay sir and Vaani worked extremely hard, and the experience was wonderful.”
‘Kamle’ is a romantic number set against the breathtaking landscapes of Rajasthan, capturing the intense chemistry between Ajay Devgn and Vaani Kapoor. In contrast, ‘Tumhe Dillagi’ is a heartfelt love ballad that takes place during a festive celebration, adding an emotional depth to the film’s storyline.
