Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], March 13: Chhappan Bhog, a renowned sweet shop in Lucknow, has etched its name in the India Book of Records by creating the world’s largest Gujiya, weighing an impressive 6 kg and measuring 25 inches in length, just ahead of the Holi celebrations.
The record-breaking Gujiya, dubbed the ‘Baahubali Gujiya,’ was unveiled during an event held at Phoenix Palassio Mall, where the sweet shop earned recognition for achieving this remarkable feat. Pramil Dwivedi, the official Executor of the India Book of Records, confirmed the entry, stating, “This Gujiya made by Chhappan Bhog breaks existing records. We did our research and found that no one has ever made a Gujiya of this size before, which is why it has been officially recorded.”
During the event, Kshitij Gupta, the Marketing Head of Chhappan Bhog, explained the inspiration behind the creation of the largest Gujiya. He highlighted that the Gujiya, a quintessential Indian sweet, symbolizes India’s rich culture and the unity within its diversity. He stated, “Gujiya is a symbol of the culture of Vasudev Kutumbakam. Baahubali Gujiya represents all the colors of the world. We aimed to create a new trend by celebrating three significant festivals: India’s victory in cricket, Holi, and Ramzan. It reflects how we as Indians bring society together.”
Kshitij also revealed the recipe and price details of the ‘Baahubali Gujiya.’ Priced between ₹20,000 to ₹25,000, the enormous Gujiya is made with luxurious ingredients such as saffron, almonds, khoya, and raisins, reflecting the essence of India’s diverse culinary culture.
