Washington [US], May 18 : TV personality and musician Chanel West Coast has revealed she’s looking forward to expanding her family, more than two years after welcoming her first child, daughter Bowie Breeze, with boyfriend Dom Fenison.
“I would love to have another child,” Chanel told E! News. Reflecting on her pregnancy with Bowie in November 2022, she admitted it came at a complicated time in her career. “I was at a weird place in my music career. I needed to be going really hard with my music in full force. But then I got pregnant,” she shared.
Initially, Chanel thought she could use her pregnancy as time to focus on recording, but complications altered her plans. “I could barely breathe,” she said of her high-risk pregnancy. “I was just like, ‘I’m not even singing or rapping my best because I’m so out of breath.’”
Since giving birth, she’s poured her energy into her music career. Her recent single, Lil’ Bit Country, marked a genre shift from hip-hop to country—and fans have taken notice. “It’s really buzzing, kind of blowing-up-overnight type thing compared to songs I’ve dropped in the past doing hip-hop,” she said of the independent release.
With a full country album and potential tour in the works, Chanel is focused on reaching the next level in her music career before expanding her family. “Then we’ll think about having another one, because I definitely think Bowie needs a little friend to play with. That’s very apparent,” she added.
