Central Government Employees In Maharashtra And Kerala To Receive Early Salaries For Ganesh Chaturthi And Onam

New Delhi: The central government has made a special rule for its workers and retirees in Maharashtra and Kerala. They would be able to get their August salary and pensions before the big festivals of Ganesh Chaturthi and Onam.

The Ministry of Finance sent out a statement saying that central government workers in Maharashtra will get paid on Tuesday, August 26, in preparation for the Ganesh Chaturthi festival on August 27. The early payment applies to all of the state’s central government offices, such as the defense, postal, and telecommunications departments.

The same order has been given for Kerala, where central government workers will get their pay and pensions on Monday, August 25, before the Onam celebrations on September 4 and 5. The early payment will also be available to workers in the state’s central government industries.

According to the Economic Times, the Finance Ministry’s memos say that the “salary/wages/pension of all Central Government employees” in the states in question can be taken and paid on the dates given. The ministry has also told the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to let all the banks that are involved in these transactions know so that everything goes smoothly and on time.

The government does this as a regular way to help its employees and retirees financially and make things easier for them so they may buy what they need and plan for these big cultural events. The early payment makes sure that people have the money they need to properly enjoy the celebrations with their families.
