CDS General Anil Chauhan, Visits Algerian Central Museum, Appreciates Exceptional Expose Of Country’s Military History

New Delhi [India]: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Anil Chauhan, was given a guided visit to the Algerian Central Museum on Sunday which captures the People’s National Army’s struggle for liberation against colonialism.


CDS Chauhan appreciated the exceptional expose of Algeria’s military history through various objects, clothing, weapons and other unique pieces belonging to the Algerian fighters of the Numidian era through the colonization to the present day.


Earlier on Saturday, CDS General Anil Chauhan, attended the Military Parade and Ceremony of the People’s National Army of Algeria held to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Glorious Revolution.


CDS was extended a special invite as the Guest of Honour for the parade by the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.


This marks a significant step in the bilateral defence relationship between India and Algeria.
CDS General Anil Chauhan is on his maiden visit to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, to strengthen bilateral military collaboration between both nations.


General Chauhan was earlier recieved by Ambassador Swati Vijay Kulkarni of India and General Hadjras Hocine from the Headquarters of the People’s National Army of Algeria.
Earlier, evaluating Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (ETAI) Framework and Guidelines for the Armed Forces were launched by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and Secretary, Department of Defence R&D and Chairman DRDO Dr Samir V Kamat in New Delhi on Thursday.


In his address, the Chief of Defence Staff underscored the urgent need to incorporate trustworthy AI, pointing out that recent global conflicts have demonstrated how AI is revolutionising modern warfare.


He stressed that it is essential to ensure these systems not only work as intended but are also resilient to attacks from adversaries. He congratulated the Scientific Analysis Group for developing the ETAI Framework and praised their efforts in advancing the trustworthiness of AI in defence applications.
