Panchmahal, Gujarat: A tragic accident at the Pavagadh Hill Temple in the Panchmahal district claimed the lives of six people on Saturday after a cargo ropeway cable snapped. The incident, which occurred during construction work for a new ropeway extension, led to the collapse of a trolley carrying building materials.
Following the disaster, visuals from the site emerged, showing the crushed ropeway carriage lying on the ground. A heavy presence of police personnel, alongside cranes and other rescue and relief equipment, was seen at the site. A video from the scene captured the moment the wire snapped, highlighting the devastating aftermath amid the inclement weather conditions.
Authorities have initiated a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the cable failure and assess the safety protocols at the construction site.
