Los Angeles, US – July 24, 2025 – The cast for the upcoming supernatural horror film ‘Split Rock’ has been officially announced. Clark Backo, Drew Ray Tanner, Olivia Luccardi, and Graham Verchere have joined the project, which is described as a “supernatural, ecological-horror story” and will be directed by Ryan Glover, Variety reports.
‘Split Rock’ is being produced by Low End, Prowler Pictures, and Observer Effect Productions, with support from Telefilm Canada and Creative Saskatchewan.
The film’s cast brings a mix of established and rising talent. Clark Backo has recently been seen in “Venom: The Last Dance” and “The Changeling.” Drew Ray Tanner is widely recognized for his work on “Riverdale.” Olivia Luccardi made an impression in “It Follows,” and Graham Verchere’s credits include “Summer of 84.” Director Ryan Glover previously helmed “The Strings.”
The story of ‘Split Rock’ centers on geologists Lauren (Backo) and Ben (Tanner), who are partners in both their professional and personal lives. They embark on an investigation into a strange anomaly discovered deep within the terrain. Accompanied by their colleague Sam (Luccardi) and intern Trevor (Verchere), the group soon finds themselves facing an escalating series of horrors after they unearth an ancient, destructive force buried underground.
Production for ‘Split Rock’ is set to begin next week in the unique landscape of the Saskatchewan badlands.
