July 06, 2025: Sophia Hutchins, the manager and close friend of Caitlyn Jenner, has tragically passed away at the age of 29 following an ATV accident in Malibu, California, on Wednesday, as confirmed by People magazine. TMZ reported that Hutchins was riding an all-terrain vehicle when it collided with another vehicle, throwing her off the road. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hutchins rose to public prominence after becoming Caitlyn Jenner’s manager shortly after Jenner’s transition in 2015. The pair formed a strong bond after meeting through a shared hairstylist, and Sophia took on roles managing Jenner’s public engagements and professional affairs. She also served as CEO and executive director of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation, which supports transgender rights, and appeared on the reality show I Am Cait.
Despite persistent rumors of a romantic relationship, both Hutchins and Jenner always maintained they were close friends. In a 2018 interview with Variety, Hutchins emphasized their commitment to advocacy over publicity, saying, “Caitlyn is not working on these [activist] issues for press attention. She’s doing it because she genuinely wants to help the community.”
Born in Bellevue, Washington, on April 1, 1996, Hutchins graduated with a degree in economics and finance from Pepperdine University in 2019. Beyond her activism, she founded the sunscreen brand Lumasol, combining her entrepreneurial spirit with her passion for health and wellness.
Sophia Hutchins leaves behind a legacy of advocacy, entrepreneurship, and unwavering support for the transgender community.
