Los Angeles [US]: Actors Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy are set to star together in The Good Daughter, a new suspenseful crime drama series based on Karin Slaughter’s bestselling novel of the same name. Byrne will also serve as an executive producer for the project.
According to Variety, the series follows sisters Charlotte (played by Meghann Fahy) and Samantha (played by Rose Byrne) Quinn, who have spent the last 28 years trying to rebuild their lives after a traumatic event. The plot kicks off when a new attack shakes the small town of Pikeville, with Charlotte, now a lawyer, being the first to arrive at the crime scene. As the case unfolds with one shocking twist after another, Charlotte is forced to confront her past, and both sisters are left questioning if being the “good daughter” was worth the personal cost.
The role of Charlotte was initially set to be played by Jessica Biel, but Fahy has now taken over the character.
Meghann Fahy, known for her portrayal of Daphne Sullivan in Season 2 of HBO’s The White Lotus, most recently starred in Netflix’s The Perfect Couple. She also had a notable role in The Bold Type on Freeform.
