BSF Destroys Terror Launch Pad In Pakistan’s Sialkot In Retaliation To Ceasefire Violation; 7 Terrorists Neutralised In Samba

In a strong retaliatory strike, the Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday confirmed the destruction of a terrorist launch pad in Looni, located in Pakistan’s Sialkot district, directly opposite the Akhnoor area in Jammu. This action was in response to unprovoked ceasefire violations by Pakistan Rangers on Friday night.

The ceasefire breach, which began around 9 PM on May 9, saw Pakistani forces target BSF positions in the Jammu sector. In a measured and powerful response, the BSF retaliated with precision fire, resulting in extensive damage to Pakistani assets, including the complete annihilation of the Looni launch pad.

“Our resolve to protect India’s sovereignty is unshaken,” the BSF said in its official statement.

Samba Sector Infiltration Foiled: 7 Terrorists Killed

Earlier on Friday, the BSF also foiled a major infiltration bid in the Samba sector of Jammu. Using an advanced surveillance grid, BSF personnel detected a large group of terrorists attempting to infiltrate under cover fire from the Dhandhar post of Pakistan Rangers.

The infiltration attempt escalated into a fierce gunfight, resulting in the neutralisation of seven terrorists. Additionally, the Dhandhar post suffered extensive damage in the exchange.

The BSF released thermal imagery footage confirming the destruction of the Dhandhar post, further establishing the success of their operation.

Escalating Tensions Along the Border

This escalation comes in the wake of India launching retaliatory strikes across at least four airbases in Pakistan, following coordinated drone and missile attacks on 26 Indian locations, including sensitive zones along the International Border and the Line of Control (LoC).

Intermittent cross-border firing continues, especially in Rajouri, Barmer, and Ferozpur, where civilian areas have also been targeted. Tragically, a senior administrative officer in Rajouri, J&K’s Raj Kumar Thappa, was killed when a Pakistani shell hit his home.

High Alert and Continued Operations

Indian security forces, including the Army and BSF, are on maximum alert, maintaining tight control over border zones. Under Operation Sindoor, multiple terror camps in Pakistan and PoK have been destroyed since its launch earlier this week.

The Ministries of Defence and External Affairs are expected to issue a joint statement soon, updating on current operations and advising the public on safety protocols in affected regions.
