British Actor And Comedian Tony Slattery Passes Away At 65

British actor and comedian Tony Slattery has passed away at the age of 65. Known for his sharp wit and versatile performances, Slattery earned widespread fame through his work in television, film, and stage.

Slattery’s career took off in the 1980s when he became a regular performer on Chris Tarrant’s Saturday Stayback (1983) and later appeared in children’s programs such as Behind the Bike Sheds and the Saturday morning show TX. He quickly rose to prominence as a regular on the improvisation show Whose Line Is It Anyway? (1988), where his quick humor and charismatic presence won the hearts of many.

In addition to his television work, Slattery also appeared in films, including Peter’s Friends (1992), alongside fellow Cambridge alumni Emma Thompson, Hugh Laurie, and Stephen Fry, as well as in The Crying Game (1989).
