Brad Pitt’s ‘F1: The Movie’ Premieres In Times Square with Real Racing Thrills

Washington [US], June 18: The world premiere of ‘F1: The Movie’ lit up Times Square on Monday, offering fans a first look at the high-octane racing drama starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the film centers around Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula 1 legend who returns to mentor a rising rookie. Pitt and Idris stunned audiences with the revelation that they performed most of their own driving stunts, adding a layer of authenticity to the adrenaline-packed storyline.

Pitt shared his amazement at the experience, saying, “I was just in awe,” while Idris jokingly said his mindset was simply, “Don’t die.” Despite the risks, he called it “the most exhilarating feeling in the world,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film also had major backing from the racing world, with seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton serving as both producer and driving advisor. Kosinski emphasized that both actors trained rigorously and earned Hamilton’s personal sign-off for their on-track skills.

Brad and Damson both proved themselves to be incredible drivers,” Kosinski confirmed.

Filmed with real access to Formula 1 races, the movie promises an immersive and realistic look at the high-speed world of professional racing.

‘F1: The Movie’ races into theatres on June 27, aiming to deliver the ultimate cinematic thrill ride.
