Los Angeles [US], July 10: The legal feud between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie over their former French winery, Chateau Miraval, continues to intensify. Pitt, 61, has now demanded access to private communications linked to Jolie’s 2021 sale of her winery stake to the Stoli Group—a move he claims violated a mutual agreement.
📄 Brad Pitt Requests Testimony and Records from Stoli Employee
According to court documents filed on June 30, Pitt is seeking a deposition and records from Alexey Oliynik, a Stoli Group employee whom Pitt believes holds critical insight into the deal. The sale of Jolie’s stake to Stoli’s wine arm, Tenute del Mondo, allegedly happened without Pitt’s consent, breaching a prior agreement that neither party would sell without mutual approval.
Pitt’s team claims Oliynik has refused to cooperate due to his residence in Switzerland, asserting he can’t be compelled to testify. But Pitt’s legal counsel argues that the documents would help prove Jolie acted “with malice” in the transaction.
⚖️ The Ongoing Legal Saga
The former couple—who separated in 2016 and finalized their divorce in December 2023—have been embroiled in a complex legal dispute over the estate. Pitt initially sued Jolie in February 2022, and Jolie responded with a countersuit in September 2022, accusing him of waging a “vindictive war.”
🚨 Abuse Allegations and NDA Dispute
Jolie’s team previously alleged that Pitt tied the winery buyout to her signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)—meant to prevent her from discussing alleged abuse during a 2016 private jet incident. Though no charges were filed after investigations, the episode remains a key element of the ongoing dispute.
In 2024, a judge ordered Jolie to submit eight years of NDAs she issued to others, as part of the court’s evaluation of whether Pitt’s NDA request was consistent with standard practices.
