Bhubaneshwar (Odisha), February 12 : Filmmaker Boney Kapoor and his son, actor Arjun Kapoor, met Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at his assembly chamber on Wednesday to invite him to the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL). Boney Kapoor is the owner of the Bengal Tigers team in the CCL.
The upcoming CCL matches are scheduled to take place at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on February 16, featuring two exciting matchups. The first match will see Punjab De Sher take on the Bhojpuri Dabangg Team, followed by a clash between Mumbai Heroes and the Bengal Tigers.
The Celebrity Cricket League is renowned for uniting actors from various Indian film industries to offer a blend of sports and entertainment for the fans.
Arjun Kapoor’s Upcoming Film: ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’
Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor is also busy promoting his upcoming film, ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’, where he stars alongside Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh. The trailer of the film was unveiled earlier this month, showcasing a comedic yet dramatic turn of events in the life of Ankur, played by Arjun Kapoor. The plot revolves around Ankur’s ex-wife, Prabhleen (played by Bhumi Pednekar), who suffers from retrograde amnesia, losing memories for the past 5-6 years. Ankur, now engaged to Antara (Rakul Preet Singh), fears that the truth will disrupt his relationship with Antara.
The film, directed by Mudassar Aziz (known for Pati Patni Aur Woh), also stars Dino Morea, Harsh Gujral, and Shakti Kapoor. Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh, ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’ will release in theatres on February 21.
