Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], December 2: Actor Boman Irani marked his 65th birthday on Monday by sharing a childhood photo on social media, humorously stating that he still has “the mind of a 9-year-old.”

Posting a nostalgic before-and-after picture on Instagram, Irani shared a black-and-white image of his younger self alongside a recent photograph. In his heartfelt caption, the actor expressed gratitude for the love and support he has received throughout his career. Reflecting on his journey, he wrote:

“As I look back at this kid… While I still have the mind of a 9-year-old, this 65-year-old can’t help but be amazed at the years gone by. Grateful for all the experiences, (blunders included), and wonder how I became eligible for so much love from across the universe, even from people I may never have met. All I can say is thank you and bless my lucky stars!”

On this special occasion, actor Anupam Kher took to social media to wish his friend a happy birthday, writing, “Happy Birthday my friend. You are the bestest. Love and prayers always.”

Boman’s son, actor Kayoze Irani, also shared a heartfelt tribute to his father, posting a series of throwback photos and videos that showcased their close family bond. One of the photos featured Boman playing the guitar, while another showed him with his wife, Zenobia Irani, and their two sons, Kayoze and Danesh, enjoying quality family time. Kayoze also shared a video of a jam session between father and son.

Wishing his father on Instagram, Kayoze wrote, “Happy Birthday Bob @boman_irani.”

Boman Irani is one of Bollywood’s most beloved actors, known for his iconic roles in films such as Munna Bhai MBBS, Don, 3 Idiots, Happy New Year, Uunchai, PK, the Housefull franchise, and Dunki.

In addition to his acting career, Boman made his directorial debut with The Mehta Boys, a project he started writing after receiving a one-liner from filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh a decade ago. The film, starring Shreya Chaudhary and Avinash Tiwary, tells the story of a father navigating the complexities of his relationship with his son. The Mehta Boys will soon be released on Amazon Prime Video.
