Veteran actor Boman Irani recently revisited memories from the Munna Bhai franchise and shared his hopes for a third instalment while attending the song launch of Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab. Speaking fondly about his association with Sanjay Dutt, Boman described working on Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. as one of the most meaningful phases of his career.
Addressing the gathering, Boman said that Munna Bhai was never just a successful film series for him but an emotion rooted in friendship, trust and creative freedom. He recalled the warmth on set, adding that the bond shared by the cast felt more like a family than a film unit.
Talking about reuniting with Sanjay Dutt after many years, Boman noted that their equation has only grown stronger with time. He said Sanjay brings a distinctive energy to sets, creating an environment that feels both comfortable and creatively charged.
When asked about the much-anticipated Munna Bhai 3, Boman stopped short of making any official announcement but expressed optimism. He said he believes the film will happen when the right story comes along, adding that he has already “manifested” it in his heart. With a smile, he also urged fans to put some pressure on filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani to make it happen.
