Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra passed away on Monday at the age of 89. Known affectionately as the “He-Man” of Indian cinema, the actor died following a brief illness and age-related health issues, including recent respiratory complications.
His wife, Hema Malini, and daughter, Esha Deol, were spotted at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai, where his final rites will be held. The passing of the iconic star marks the end of a storied career that spanned over six decades.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi publicly offered his condolences, stating that Dharmendra’s passing marked the “end of an era in Indian cinema.”

Dharmendra’s career began with his debut film Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere in 1960. He rose to national prominence with the 1965 film Haqeeqat and later became a symbol of raw masculinity and versatility.

The actor had been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital recently due to ill health but was discharged two weeks ago to continue his recovery at home.
