Reports say that Hollywood star Blake Lively was offered a huge amount of money to star in the movie version of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling book It Ends With Us. Us Weekly says that data from a draft contract that was never signed show that there was a deal for millions of dollars with performance-based bonuses and profit-sharing terms.
Proposed Deal and Bonuses
The draft deal said that Lively would get a base payment of about USD 2 million (about Rs 17 crore) and 10% of the film’s gross profits. There were also bonuses based on how well the movie did at the box office:
If the movie made three times what it cost to make, it would get USD 250,000 (Rs 2.2 crore).

More and more A-list actors are getting these kinds of bonuses, especially those who are working on big adaptations of books.
Incentives for Awards
The deal also said that there will be further benefits for winning awards:
For a nomination, you get $100,000 (Rs 88 lakh); for a win, you get $200,000 (Rs 1.7 crore).
The Golden Globe is worth $75,000 (Rs 66 lakh) for a nomination and $100,000 (Rs 88 lakh) for a win.
For a nomination, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) pays $50,000 (Rs 44 lakh); for a win, it pays $75,000 (Rs 66 lakh).
If the award was won, only the higher sum would be paid in each circumstance.
Benefits and On-Set Arrangements
The draft deal, in addition to direct remuneration, also provided a lot of logistical and personal support for Lively and her family while they were filming in several places:
Lively flies to Las Vegas on a private jet.
Costs for her four kids, two nannies, a personal assistant, and her security squad
Personal driver and helper on site
Weekly money for food and training
These terms show how big and ambitious the production is in order to meet the star’s needs.
Status of the contract and final pay
Even if the original terms were great, the contract was never signed. It’s still not known if Lively and the production team ever came to an agreement on a new one.
It Ends With Us got a lot of attention at the box office, but the actual amount Blake Lively made in the end has not been made public.
