The Survival List is a new action romantic comedy that will bring actress Blake Lively back to the big screen. The Hollywood Reporter says that the 37-year-old star will not only be the lead in the movie, but she will also be a producer.
While Lively is in the middle of a very public court fight with her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni, this revelation comes out. She says that Baldoni sexually harassed her and then started a smear campaign against her because she complained. The trial is set for March 2026. Even though there is still a lot of legal turmoil going on, Lively has been working. She was in the movie Another Simple Favor, which came out on Amazon Prime Video in May.
Lively will play Annie, a “highbrow reality TV producer” in The Survival List. She has to collaborate with a well-known survival expert. But when the two are shipwrecked on a desolate island, Annie finds out that her co-star is a fake and has to take responsibility of their survival.
Tom Melia, who wrote the script for the movie, is recognized for his work on the blockbuster rom-com Rye Lane. Marc Platt (Wicked) is producing the movie. People think of the production as a new chapter for Lively because she is moving on to a new genre after doing tragic roles.
