BJP’s Tarun Chugh Says Countdown For AAP Government’s Fall In Punjab Has Begun

BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Monday claimed that the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government in Punjab is on the verge of collapse after the party’s poor performance in the Delhi Assembly elections. He said the “fake and cheater” face of Kejriwal has been exposed to the nation.

AAP’s Delhi Model Rejected

Chugh stated that the AAP in Punjab is like a “house of cards” that will soon collapse, as the much-hyped Delhi model—which Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann aimed to implement in Punjab—was outrightly rejected by Delhi voters.

“Kejriwal and his model have been thrown into the Yamuna by the people of Delhi,” he remarked.

Chugh further accused Kejriwal’s government of running a series of scams, including:

  • Liquor scam
  • Scholarship scam
  • Education and health scams
  • Delhi Jal Board scam

According to Chugh, Kejriwal’s governance was based on deception and fraud, which led to AAP’s downfall in Delhi.

Punjab Ready for Change

Chugh claimed that people in Punjab have already realized their mistake in voting for AAP, and the state is now eager for change. He also criticized the Mann government for lawlessness, alleging that gangsters and mafias are operating freely under AAP’s rule.

Congress on the Decline

When asked about Congress’ claim of gaining support from AAP MLAs in Punjab, Chugh dismissed it, saying, “Congress has been wiped out in almost all parts of the country and is on ventilator mode. It has become a leaderless party.”

He asserted that the BJP is playing a responsible opposition in Punjab and will soon win the trust of the people.

AAP’s Delhi Setback

This statement comes after AAP’s massive defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections, where its seat count dropped from 62 (in 2020) to just 22. Meanwhile, the BJP secured a historic victory, winning 48 out of 70 seats, marking its return to power in Delhi after 27 years.
