BJP’s Manjinder Singh Sirsa Alleges Kejriwal Is Plotting To Oust Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann

New Delhi (India), February 12 : Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) winning candidate from Rajouri Garden, has made allegations against Arvind Kejriwal, the National Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Sirsa claimed that Kejriwal is attempting to stage a ‘coup’ against Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Sirsa suggested that the coming 15-20 days would be critical for CM Bhagwant Mann, as Kejriwal might attempt to blame him for various issues and remove him from office. This comes after the AAP suffered a massive defeat in the recent Delhi Assembly polls, where the party lost to the BJP by a significant margin.

Commenting on the situation, Sirsa referred to the ousting of Punjab’s former Health Minister, Vijay Singla, and questioned whether Kejriwal would succeed in replacing Mann with himself. Sirsa expressed doubt about Kejriwal’s ability to take over as Punjab CM, which could weaken Mann’s position further.

“The next 15-20 days are extremely crucial for Bhagwant Mann. He will be blamed for everything… Then he will be removed just like Punjab’s former health minister, Vijay Singla. But after removing him, will Arvind Kejriwal be able to become the CM? I don’t think so… Arvind Kejriwal is trying to stage a coup against the Punjab CM seat,” Sirsa said.

Additionally, Sirsa mentioned that the winning MLAs from the Delhi Assembly elections will meet with the National President of the BJP to discuss the party’s CM face. This meeting will take place once Prime Minister Narendra Modi returns from his visit to the US.

“All MLAs will meet the National President in the next two days… Our national leadership will discuss the CM face once PM Narendra Modi comes back (from the US visit),” he added.

In the Delhi Assembly election, which saw results declared on February 8, the BJP secured a historic victory, winning a two-thirds majority with 48 seats. This victory marked the BJP’s return to power in Delhi after 27 years. On the other hand, AAP faced a setback, losing a significant number of seats. Many of the party’s prominent leaders, including Kejriwal, lost their strongholds, while Atishi, the outgoing Chief Minister, managed to retain her seat. The Congress failed to win a single seat in the election.
