BJP’s Dilip Jaiswal Slams Tejashwi Yadav for ‘Baseless’ Criticism on Bihar Law & Order, Urges Focus on Development

Patna (Bihar) [India], April 22: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Dilip Jaiswal has strongly criticized Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav over his recent comments on Bihar’s law and order situation.

Responding to Yadav’s sharp critique of the Nitish Kumar-led government, Jaiswal accused the RJD leader of lacking meaningful political engagement. “Tejashwi Yadav has no work. In the morning, he reads newspapers, watches TV, and picks up issues just to comment on them,” said Jaiswal. He advised Yadav to focus on discussing developmental issues rather than sensationalizing crime statistics.

Jaiswal added that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is committed to building a stronger Bihar by focusing on development. “If Bihar develops, crime will stop automatically. Nitish Kumar is working on the basics, and the state is progressing under his leadership,” he emphasized.

Earlier, Tejashwi Yadav took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to denounce the alleged deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar. In a scathing post, Yadav listed multiple recent incidents of violent crime, including murders across Begusarai, Supaul, Nalanda, Munger, and Patna. He wrote, “Modi-Nitish’s great jungle raj in Bihar… Every minute, a criminal incident is taking place here. Law and order have collapsed. Police are busy extorting money in the name of the liquor ban.”

In a separate issue, Yadav also criticized BJP MP Nishikant Dubey for his remarks targeting the Supreme Court, stating that such comments undermine the judiciary’s authority. Speaking to reporters, Yadav said, “Such comments should not be made about the Court, and if someone makes such comments, contempt proceedings should be initiated.”
