Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], May 31: The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday launched a blistering attack on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, accusing him of turning the Chief Minister’s Office into a platform for “photo-ops and propaganda” rather than focusing on pressing governance issues.
In a strongly worded statement, N.V. Subash, BJP’s State Chief Spokesperson and Media In-Charge, criticized the CM’s recent remarks about Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and the Indian military. Subash said the Chief Minister was echoing false narratives and “fantasies” that align more with Pakistan’s propaganda than with national interests.
“Even a national daily had to retract similar claims after a Defence Ministry clarification. Yet, Revanth Reddy persists in peddling these lies to appease his high command—Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi—who parachuted him into the CM’s chair,” Subash stated.
The BJP leader slammed Revanth Reddy for questioning the Modi government’s military record, pointing out that the Directorate General of Military Operations (DGMO) had already clarified the facts. He added that even opposition leaders like Asaduddin Owaisi have condemned Pakistan’s duplicity, while Reddy’s comments “appear to justify” enemy narratives.
“Does the Chief Minister have any respect for our Armed Forces?” Subash asked. “At a time of heightened tensions with our rogue neighbour Pakistan, he seems more focused on posing with Miss World than expressing solidarity with our soldiers.”
Subash also ridiculed the CM for his prediction that Rahul Gandhi will be India’s next Prime Minister, calling it laughable even within Congress circles.
He urged Revanth Reddy to exercise “restraint and responsibility” in public statements, emphasizing that such rhetoric damages Telangana’s image, a state with a proud legacy in the freedom movement and national development.
