New Delhi [India], January 28: In a bid to strengthen its campaign for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has assembled a team of 27 high-profile leaders, including Union Ministers, former Ministers, and senior party figures with extensive organizational experience.
The team will be responsible for overseeing the political management of key constituencies in Delhi to ensure the success of BJP candidates. Notable leaders like Union Ministers Piyush Goyal, Dharmendra Pradhan, Bhupender Yadav, Gajendra Shekhawat, Mansukh Mandaviya, Anurag Thakur, Vinod Tawde, Brajesh Pathak, and Narottam Mishra are part of the effort.
Each leader has been assigned the responsibility of managing two constituencies, with the goal of securing victory in 54 constituencies across the capital. For instance, Piyush Goyal will oversee Delhi Cantt and Wazirpur constituencies, while Dharmendra Pradhan is in charge of Malviya Nagar and Greater Kailash. Bhupender Yadav will manage Mehrauli and Bijwasan, and Mansukh Mandaviya will handle Shakur Basti and Madipur. Gajendra Shekhawat is assigned Narela and Bawana.
In addition, senior BJP figures from various states have been given charge of other critical constituencies. Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak will oversee Adarsh Nagar and Burari, while BJP National General Secretary Sunil Bansal will manage Shalimar Bagh and Tri Nagar. Fellow National General Secretary Vinod Tawde is in charge of Janakpuri and Uttam Nagar, while Tarun Chugh will manage Laxmi Nagar and Krishna Nagar. Arun Singh is assigned to Model Town and Moti Nagar.
Former Union Ministers, including Anurag Thakur, Sanjeev Balyan, and PP Chaudhary, will manage constituencies such as Mustafabad, Karawal Nagar, Matiala, Najafgarh, Mundka, and Nangloi Jat.
The team also includes prominent leaders from other states, such as Biplab Deb, former Chief Minister of Tripura, Vivek Thakur from Bihar, Anil Jain from Uttar Pradesh, Nishikant Dubey from Jharkhand, Surender Nagar from Rajasthan, and Arvind Dharmapuri from Telangana. These leaders will help develop strategies for key constituencies in Delhi.
Each leader will work closely with local candidates and party workers to ensure the smooth execution of campaign activities, address any challenges, and improve the party’s performance at the ground level. Constant communication with the BJP’s central campaign team will ensure a coordinated and effective strategy.
The Delhi Assembly elections will be held in a single phase on February 5, 2025, with the vote count scheduled for February 8, 2025.
