Delhi BJP Prepares Roadmap To Fulfill Manifesto Promises, Focuses On Yamuna Cleanup

New Delhi [India]: Delhi Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh announced that the newly-elected Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is preparing a detailed roadmap to implement the promises made in its election manifesto.

Speaking to ANI, Singh criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for questioning BJP’s governance, asserting that the opposition will soon see results as the party fulfills its commitments.

“A roadmap is being prepared for all the works we mentioned in our manifesto… Today, all seven ministers of Delhi are on the ground, ensuring work gets done. The opposition (AAP) will automatically get their answers as the BJP delivers on its promises,” he said.

Focus on Yamuna Cleanup

A recent Instagram video by ‘Modi Story’ praised the BJP government’s swift action, highlighting that Yamuna cleanup efforts began even before the new administration took office.

It emphasized that PM Modi had vowed to restore Yamuna as a defining feature of Delhi, drawing parallels to his first major decision as Gujarat’s Chief Minister in 2001—releasing Narmada waters into the Sabarmati River on the very day he took office, which led to the Sabarmati Riverfront Project.

The post stated, “The moment Narendra Modi took oath as Gujarat CM in 2001, his first step was releasing Narmada waters into Sabarmati. Sworn in the morning, and by evening, the waters flowed. This marked the beginning of Ahmedabad’s pride and symbol—the Sabarmati Riverfront project.”

BJP’s Commitment to Delhi’s Development

Days before Rekha Gupta took charge as Delhi’s first BJP Chief Minister in 27 years, Lt. Governor VK Saxena initiated a meeting to fast-track Yamuna cleanup efforts.

On the eve of assuming office, Gupta, along with her cabinet ministers and Delhi BJP leaders, attended the evening aarti at Vasudev Ghat, reinforcing their commitment to restoring the river.

Political Battle Over Yamuna

The pollution in the Yamuna was a major talking point during the Delhi Assembly elections, with both BJP and AAP accusing each other over flood management, encroachments, and pollution control failures.

With the BJP now in power, the focus remains on delivering key promises, particularly the revival of the Yamuna, marking a new chapter in Delhi’s governance.
