BJP MP Nishikant Dubey Slams Pakistan At UNGA, Citing ‘Grave Abuses’ Against Children And ‘Operation Sindoor’ Defeat

Nishikant Dubey, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a member of the Lok Sabha, used his speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to launch a scathing attack on Pakistan, accusing it of serious violations of the UN agenda on Children and Armed Conflict (CAAC). During a session on the Promotion and Protection of Child Rights, Dubey compared India’s efforts, which the UN praised, to Pakistan’s dismal record, citing the country’s military failure in “Operation Sindoor” and cross-border terrorism.

India Highlights Child Welfare Initiatives at UN MP Nishikant Dubey started his speech by thanking the UN mandate holders for their efforts and praising India’s dedication to child rights. He stressed that making the world a safer place for children is “a matter of national importance.”

He said that the Special Rapporteur was grateful for India’s work, which included:

The Child Helpline 1098 is a number that kids can call for help in an emergency.

The Ujjwala Yojana is a program that works to stop, rescue, and help children who have been trafficked or sexually abused.

Pakistan is accused of “grave abuses” and breaking the CAAC rules.

Then Dubey turned to directly condemning Pakistan, calling it one of the “most serious violators” of the CAAC objective.

“Pakistan, on the other hand, is very different. Dubey said, “It is a country that is one of the most serious violators of the CAAC agenda.”

He said that Pakistan was trying to “divert the world’s attention” away from major problems inside the country, which was backed up by the Secretary-General’s 2025 report on CAAC.

In particular, Dubey said that Pakistan was responsible for the following:

Attacks on schools and hospitals: He talked about “attacks by Pakistan on health workers in schools—especially girls’ schools,” using the CAAC report as a source.

death and Maiming Afghan Children: He said that cross-border shelling and airstrikes by Pakistan along the Afghanistan border were “directly responsible for the killing and maiming of Afghan children.”

Cross-Border Terrorism: He said that these violations were connected to “ongoing cross-border terrorism.”

Operation Sindoor and Retaliation

The BJP MP also talked about a specific military action to show how Pakistan uses terror and how India responds in a “measured” way.

Dubey remembered the “brutal, targeted attacks carried out by Pakistan-trained terrorists” in the April 22, 2025 Pahalgam terror incident in Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 26 innocent people.

In May 2025, India used its “legitimate right to defend its people” to launch out Operation Sindoor, which involved surgical strikes on nine terrorist hideouts.

He said that India’s approach was more restrained than Pakistan’s, which “deliberately targeted our border villages, killing many civilians, including children.”

Dubey ended his statement with a harsh warning: “Pakistan must look in the mirror, stop preaching on this platform, protect its children, and stop attacking women and children across its borders.”

After his speech at the UNGA, MP Dubey reaffirmed his critique on X, saying, “Today, under the orders of the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pakistan was punished in the United Nations for losing Operation Sindoor and its current state.”
