BJP MP Kangana Ranaut Condemns Parliament Scuffle, Blames Congress For Violence

BJP MP Kangana Ranaut strongly criticized the scuffle that broke out in Parliament premises on Thursday, leaving BJP MPs injured. She accused the Congress of spreading lies about Dr. BR Ambedkar and the Constitution and condemned the escalation of violence into Parliament.

“This is shameful. One of our MPs has also received stitches. The lies they (Congress) have spread about Dr. BR Ambedkar or the Constitution have been busted every time. Their violence has today reached the Parliament,” Ranaut told media.

Cross-Complaints Filed by BJP and Congress

The clash between BJP and Congress intensified as both parties lodged complaints against each other. BJP MPs, led by Anurag Thakur, filed a complaint with Delhi Police accusing Rahul Gandhi of “assault and incitement.”

Meanwhile, Congress MPs, including women leaders, filed a counter-complaint accusing BJP MPs of misbehaving with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.

Congress Alleges Conspiracy

Congress leaders, including Digvijaya Singh, accused BJP of resorting to theatrics to distract from controversial remarks about Dr. BR Ambedkar.

“It is in BJP’s character to level false allegations. They orchestrated this ‘natak’ to counter their statements about Babasaheb Ambedkar. Mallikarjun Kharge was pushed and misbehaved with,” Singh said.

Congress MP Pramod Tiwari described the incident as a “conspiracy,” alleging that BJP leaders deliberately targeted Kharge. “The way a Dalit leader was abused earlier and today pushed—this is a conspiracy,” Tiwari stated.

Congress MP Jebi Mather claimed that BJP MPs disrupted their peaceful protest. “We were taking out a peaceful march from Babasaheb Ambedkar’s statue to Makar Dwar. The BJP MPs conspired to create a scene and misbehaved with Mallikarjun Kharge ji, Priyanka Gandhi ji, and women MPs,” Mather alleged.

Injuries Reported

BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi alleged that he sustained a head injury after being knocked over by another MP, who was allegedly pushed by Rahul Gandhi. Sarangi said, “I was standing near the stairs when Rahul Gandhi came and pushed a fellow MP. That MP fell on me, causing me to fall as well.”

Both Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput, another injured BJP MP, were admitted to Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital for treatment.

Rahul Gandhi Denies Allegations

Rahul Gandhi refuted BJP’s claims, stating he was attempting to enter Parliament when BJP MPs pushed and threatened him. “This might be on your camera. I was trying to go inside through the Parliament entrance, but BJP MPs tried to stop me, push me, and threaten me. This has happened. Yes, this has happened (Mallikarjun Kharge being pushed),” Gandhi said.
