BJP Leader Anil Tiger Murdered In Ranchi; Political Leaders Criticize Law And Order Situation

BJP leader Anil Tiger was murdered in Ranchi on Wednesday, sparking protests from party workers and criticism of the state’s law enforcement. An accused in the murder was arrested following an encounter with the police, according to an official statement.

Police Encounter and Arrest
The accused, who was identified by the police, opened fire upon seeing the police team. In retaliation, the police shot him in the thigh and arrested him. The investigation into the murder is still ongoing, as confirmed by SSP Ranchi.

Protests and Political Criticism
Following the incident, BJP leaders and workers held protests and raised slogans against the Jharkhand state government over the murder of their leader.

BJP MLA Navin Jaiswal condemned the Hemant Soren government, accusing it of failing to maintain law and order. He claimed that since the formation of Soren’s government, criminal activities have surged in the state.
“Since their government has been formed in Jharkhand, the criminal activities have increased. The police administration has failed as they are busy looting the lands and coal and are unable to maintain law and order. Hemant Soren should tender his resignation from the post of Chief Minister,” Jaiswal said.

Union Minister Sanjay Seth also criticized the state government, stating that the rule of law has collapsed in Jharkhand, giving criminals a free hand. He compared the situation to Uttar Pradesh, where he claimed crime rates were under control due to the Yogi model.
“The whole of Jharkhand including Ranchi is in the grip of criminals. The rule of law has collapsed and criminals have a free hand. Law and order has completely collapsed. We will come out on the streets tomorrow morning and protest strongly against this crime and this dishonest government. The criminals have fled from Uttar Pradesh. Women are safe, businessmen are safe. Why? Because there is fear, there is the Yogi model. Implement the Yogi model only, and then crime will stop,” Seth said.

Other Political Leaders Respond
AJSU president Sudesh Mahto criticized the government, claiming that the morale of criminals had risen in Jharkhand due to the government’s inability to control crime.
“The morale of criminals has increased in the state. The criminal activities in Ranchi have increased. We are standing with the family of BJP leader Anil Tiger,” Mahto said.

Congress leader Suresh Kumar Baitha, who was close to Anil Tiger, expressed his condolences and demanded action against the culprits.
“He was a very close friend of mine. I am deeply hurt by the incident. I express my deepest condolences to the family members. Action should be taken against those responsible for the incident,” Baitha said.
