New Delhi [India], April 6: Union Minister JP Nadda hoisted the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) flag on the party’s Foundation Day on Sunday. In a heartfelt tribute, Nadda honored the party’s founding fathers and senior leaders, acknowledging their contributions in building and expanding the BJP.
In a post shared on the social media platform X, Nadda expressed his deep gratitude toward the party’s pioneers for their sacrifices and dedication. “On the ‘Foundation Day’ of the Bharatiya Janata Party, I pay my heartfelt tributes to all the founding fathers and senior leaders of the organization, who nurtured the creation and expansion of the party with their blood and sweat,” Nadda wrote.
The Union Minister also extended his best wishes to BJP workers across the country, recognizing their tireless efforts at the grassroots level, which contributed to the party becoming the largest political force in the world. “I extend my heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the workers, brothers, and sisters across the country who have strengthened the organization at the booth level,” Nadda stated.
Highlighting the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nadda emphasized the government’s commitment to the vision of a ‘developed India.’ He praised the progress made under Modi’s leadership in the last decade and called on BJP workers to contribute further to India’s growth. “Today, on this auspicious day, I appeal to millions of my @BJP4India workers to be determined to establish Mother India at the pinnacle of glory,” Nadda added.
The BJP, originally founded as the Bharatiya Jana Sangh in 1951 by Syama Prasad Mookerjee, has seen significant growth under leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and LK Advani. The party rose to power in the 1990s and has remained a dominant force in Indian politics since.
