BJP Chief Nadda Calls Congress President’s Allegations Against RS Chairman “Condemnable”

New Delhi [India], December 12: BJP President and Rajya Sabha Leader JP Nadda on Thursday condemned the allegations made by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge against Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, stating that the Chairman’s rulings are “final and unquestionable.” Nadda emphasized that as a senior leader, Kharge should have known this, adding that such allegations were “condemnable” and “unfortunate.”

Speaking to reporters outside Parliament, Nadda rejected Congress’s claim that opposition leaders are being silenced in Parliament. He pointed out that Kharge had been given ample opportunities to speak but had declined, showing that the Congress party’s intention was to avoid cooperating in the House.

Nadda also criticized Kharge for not attending Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meetings, accusing the Congress of trying to create disruptions in Parliament’s functioning. He reiterated that the Congress party’s actions are aimed at delaying proceedings.

The INDIA bloc recently submitted a no-confidence motion against the Rajya Sabha Chairman, citing concerns over how the proceedings are being conducted. Kharge, who is the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, has accused Dhankhar of acting as a “spokesperson of the government” and labeled him the “biggest disrupter” in the House.

The ongoing Winter Session of Parliament, which began on November 25, is scheduled to continue until December 20.
