BJP Accuses AAP Of Illegal Voter Settlement, AAP Responds With Allegations On Rohingya Settlement

New Delhi [India]: BJP State President Virendraa Sachdeva has accused former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP government of facilitating the settlement of illegal voters in Delhi ahead of assembly elections.

Sachdeva alleged that this has been a recurring practice by the Kejriwal government to influence election outcomes.
“Arvind Kejriwal and his party’s government are continuously settling illegal voters in Delhi. Today we showed six examples. Arvind Kejriwal does the work of settling illegal voters in Delhi before every assembly election,” Sachdeva said during a press briefing.

He highlighted previous elections to support his claims, pointing to significant voter number increases.
“In 2015, 14 lakh votes were increased. In 2019, 9 lakh votes were increased. The same conspiracy is being hatched in Delhi now,” he alleged, adding that the BJP will take firm steps to prevent this from happening.
“The Bharatiya Janata Party will not let this conspiracy succeed. We have complained to the Election Commission, and we will do it today also,” he asserted.

In response, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar shifted the focus to Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, holding them accountable for the settlement of Rohingya immigrants in India, including in Delhi.

“If there are Rohingyas anywhere in the country, Amit Shah is directly accountable as he is the Home Minister,” Kakkar stated. She further accused Hardeep Singh Puri of responsibility for the settlement of Rohingyas in Delhi.
“If there are Rohingyas in Delhi, Hardeep Singh Puri is responsible, who publicly tweeted tagging the PMO on 17/08/2022 that Rohingyas are being settled in Bakkarwala,” she added.

Kakkar emphasized that Delhi’s resources should be reserved for its residents, asserting that Rohingyas should not have access to them.
