Bill Clinton, Donald Trump Appear In Newly Released Epstein Files As DOJ Unseals Thousands of Documents

Washington, DC: Former US President Bill Clinton features prominently in thousands of newly released documents and photographs linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, published by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) on Friday. The release follows court approval to unseal grand jury materials connected to Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, reigniting political and public scrutiny over Epstein’s network of elite connections.

The disclosures come after months of political pressure and internal dissent within President Donald Trump’s support base, with critics accusing the administration of delaying transparency. Trump signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act into law on November 19, mandating the Justice Department to release most unclassified records within 30 days.

Bill Clinton’s Presence in Epstein Photos Raises Fresh Questions

Among the most discussed images are photographs showing Bill Clinton with Ghislaine Maxwell and another image that appears to show the former president sitting in a hot tub with a woman whose face has been redacted. Other photos depict Clinton aboard a private aircraft with a woman seated beside him, her arm around him, again with her face concealed.

Reacting to one such image, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt posted “Oh my!” along with a shocked emoji on social media. A spokesperson for Clinton later accused the administration of releasing these images as a “diversionary tactic,” according to the Associated Press.

Donald Trump Referenced in Epstein Estate Images

Another photograph included in the release shows Jeffrey Epstein holding an oversized novelty cheque for $22,500 bearing Donald Trump’s signature, alongside a woman whose identity has been blacked out. The framed image reads “Once in a blue moon.”

Although the date and context of the photograph remain unclear, the cheque resembles one previously seen in a birthday album prepared by Maxwell for Epstein’s 50th birthday. That same album reportedly included a note from a Mar-a-Lago member joking about selling a “fully depreciated” woman to Trump.

Other High-Profile Figures in the Photo Cache

The released images also feature Prince Andrew, shown reclining across the laps of several women whose faces are redacted. One photograph includes Michael Jackson, previously accused of sexual abuse, posing alongside Epstein. Another image shows Clinton, Jackson, and Diana Ross together, further underscoring the extent of Epstein’s access to global celebrities and political elites.

Uproar Over Redactions and Incomplete Disclosure

Despite the scale of the release, controversy continues over extensive redactions. According to reports, 119 pages of the documents remain fully blacked out as protected grand jury material. The DOJ clarified that redactions were made strictly to protect victims’ identities, not to shield political figures.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said the department was complying fully with legal requirements, stressing that no names were removed unless the individual was a victim. However, Republican Congressman Thomas Massie criticised the release, calling it a failure to meet both “the spirit and the letter” of the transparency law.

Some Epstein survivors also expressed frustration, saying the documents provided little clarity about their own cases, according to CNN.

As public debate intensifies, the Epstein files continue to expose uncomfortable links between one of history’s most notorious sex offenders and some of the world’s most powerful figures—raising renewed demands for accountability and full transparency.
