Republic Day 2025: Bihar And Haryana Tableaux To Highlight Heritage And Development

The Republic Day Parade 2025 promises to be a grand celebration of India’s cultural heritage and progress, with 31 tableaux showcasing the theme “Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Aur Vikas” (Golden India: Heritage and Development).

Bihar Tableau: A Land of Knowledge and Peace

The Bihar tableau will present the state’s rich tangible heritage, emphasizing its historical significance as a “land of knowledge, salvation, and peace.” It features prominent sites like Nalanda University, the Nalanda ruins, the recently inaugurated International Nalanda University, and Bodh Gaya, where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment.

Speaking about the tableau, Bihar Joint Director Ravi Bhushan Sahay said:
“Bihar has been the land of knowledge, salvation, and peace since ancient times. Through this tableau, we are showcasing the tangible heritage of the state. The efforts to re-establish Bihar as the land of knowledge include the International Nalanda University inaugurated last year by PM Modi.”

Haryana Tableau: From Heritage to Progress

Haryana’s tableau, titled “Samridh Haryana-Virasat Aur Vikas” (Prosperous Haryana—Heritage and Development), highlights the state’s blend of cultural heritage and modern advancements. It features a depiction of the Bhagwad Gita’s divine message delivered by Lord Krishna in Kurukshetra, alongside representations of Haryana’s infrastructure, development, and contributions to sports.

KM Pandurang, Director General of Public Relations for Haryana, stated:
“With the theme of ‘Samridh Haryana-Virasat Aur Vikas,’ we aim to showcase our heritage, infrastructure, and the contributions of Haryana’s athletes.”

Special Highlights of the Parade

  • A tri-services tableau, themed “Shashakt aur Surakshit Bharat” (Empowered and Secure India), will emphasize the collaboration among the Armed Forces.
  • A spectacular flypast by 47 aircraft will conclude the event.
  • The parade will also celebrate 75 years since the enactment of the Indian Constitution, with balloons bearing the logo of this milestone being released during the event.

Global Participation

The President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, will be the Chief Guest. Indonesia will also contribute a 160-member marching contingent and a 190-member band, symbolizing strong bilateral ties.

As India marks its 76th Republic Day, the parade at Kartavya Path will reflect the nation’s diversity, resilience, and aspirations for a brighter future.
