Bihar Elections: Deputy CM Vijay Sinha Clashes with RJD MLC on Lakhisarai Road

The political blame game spilled onto the streets of Bihar’s Lakhisarai on Thursday as Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha (BJP/NDA) and RJD MLC Ajay Kumar engaged in a dramatic, heated confrontation in the middle of the road. The unusual scene unfolded right as voters headed to polling booths for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections.

The intense exchange of allegations took place publicly, with several media personnel present to capture the moment.

‘Your Mouth Stinks Due to Alcohol’: The Allegations Fly

The confrontation began when Deputy CM Sinha reportedly blocked the RJD MLC’s car. Sinha immediately launched a sharp attack on Kumar:

Daaru peekar kaise muh mehak raha hai… (look how your mouth stinks due to alcohol),” Sinha accused the RJD MLC.

The RJD leader, Ajay Kumar, leaned out of his car and retaliated, calling the Deputy CM “scared” due to the anticipated election results.

“They lost the polls, it’s nervousness…their goons wanted to capture (the booth),” the MLC asserted while speaking to reporters.

Attack on Convoy and Accusations of Voter Intimidation

The dramatic war of words surfaced shortly after Sinha’s convoy was reportedly attacked in Lakhisarai, with claims that stones and other objects were thrown at his vehicle.

Sinha, who is seeking a fourth term from the Lakhisarai constituency, squarely placed the blame on RJD supporters, accusing them of trying to “intimidate” voters belonging to extremely backward classes.

He vowed strong action, stating: “These are the goons of RJD. Satta mein aa rahi hai NDA isliye inke chhati pe bulldozer chalega (The NDA is coming to power, bulldozers will crush their chests).”

Sinha also alleged electoral malpractice, claiming, “The goons are not letting me visit the village. Vijay Sinha is going to win…They turned away my polling agent and did not let him vote. Look at their hooliganism. These are the 404 and 405 booth numbers of Khoriari village.”

Voting for the first phase of the Bihar elections is currently underway across key constituencies. The second phase is scheduled for November 11, and the results will be declared on November 14.
