The wait is over for fans of the reality show Bigg Boss, as host Salman Khan is back to kick off the 19th season. The grand premiere is tonight, August 24, with a brand-new political-themed concept: “Gharwalon Ki Sarkar.” This season promises a major shift in dynamics, as contestants will be given the power to make key decisions inside the house.
While the voting rights will remain with the audience, the show’s new format gives contestants a significant say in the house’s operations. The clip shows Salman Khan in a hilarious exchange with a contestant, who asks the host if “true love only remains incomplete.” Another promo for the show hints at a fun interaction between Salman and a Shah Rukh Khan duplicate who is set to appear in the house, but not as a contestant.
Meanwhile, actor Arjun Bijlani has clarified recent speculation about his entry into the house. He took to social media to state that his cryptic posts were not about him joining Bigg Boss or about a personal matter. He said he is “just here to RISE.”
The new season is set to be a spectacle of drama and strategy as the contestants navigate their new-found power. The show will stream on JioHotstar at 9:00 PM IST before its television broadcast on Colors TV at 10:30 PM IST.
