Bigg Boss 19 Fame Malti Chahar Opens Up About Painful Childhood, Family Conflict

New Delhi:
Bigg Boss 19 fame Malti Chahar has opened up about one of the most painful chapters of her life, recalling how everything changed for her after Class 7. In a candid conversation with TV host and podcaster Siddharth Kannan, Malti revealed she battled a medical condition called adenomyosis, while also coping with intense emotional distress caused by ongoing tension at home.

Malti shared that her parents’ relationship was strained for years, and as the elder child, she was forced to witness constant fights. “There was a lot of tension between my parents. They fought constantly, and being the eldest, I had to see everything. My brother was busy with cricket, so he wasn’t around much during those moments,” she said.

The actress recalled living in a 1BHK house, where there was simply no escape when arguments broke out. She added that sometimes her mother and father would vent their anger on her physically, unaware of the long-term emotional damage it caused. Malti revealed that her parents had compatibility issues and have been living separately for the past 13 years.

She also spoke about her difficult relationship with her father, who reportedly boycotted her until Class 12. Malti had expressed her dream of participating in Miss India and entering the entertainment industry, but her father wanted her to become an IPS officer. “He thought restricting me would make me focus on studies. I had short hair till Class 11 and absolutely no freedom. It affected me deeply,” she recalled.

Malti also opened up about being eve-teased during her childhood when her father was posted in Suratgarh, saying she couldn’t complain because she feared further restrictions. Reflecting on her journey, she said, “All of this makes me feel that I didn’t have a good life after seventh grade.” However, she clarified that her father never had bad intentions, but his strictness crushed her freedom.

Malti Chahar, who became a household name after her stint in Bigg Boss 19, finished among the top six finalists, while Gaurav Khanna lifted the trophy in the latest season.
