Reality TV personality Bebika Dhurve has sparked controversy online after sharing a video update from Dubai amid reports of missile interceptions in the region.
Known for appearing on Bigg Boss OTT 2 and the reality competition The 50, Bebika said she was safe in Dubai despite missiles flying overhead but claimed she would not feel safe stepping out late at night in Delhi. Her remarks quickly triggered backlash across social media platforms.
In the video, Bebika said that even though missile defence systems were intercepting attacks above the city, she still felt secure there. She contrasted this with Delhi, saying she would not feel comfortable leaving her house late at night in the Indian capital.
Her statement drew sharp criticism from many users online, with several accusing her of taking a swipe at India while staying abroad. Some social media users mocked her comments, while others questioned why she compared safety in the two cities during an ongoing conflict situation.
