Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for the Indian men’s cricket team’s 2025 home season, featuring exciting series against West Indies and South Africa. The season, beginning on October 2, will also witness Guwahati hosting its first-ever Test match.
India’s home season will commence with a two-match Test series against West Indies, starting on October 2 in Ahmedabad. The second Test will be played in Kolkata on October 10. Following this, India will host South Africa in an all-format series, beginning with a Test match in New Delhi on November 14.
“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is pleased to announce the schedule for Team India (Senior Men) international home season for 2025. The upcoming season promises thrilling encounters as India faces the West Indies and South Africa across Test matches, One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is),” the BCCI stated.
The highly anticipated Test series against South Africa will mark a historic moment, as Guwahati is set to host its maiden Test match. The first Test will take place in New Delhi from November 14, followed by the second Test in Guwahati from November 22.
After the Test series, India and South Africa will compete in a three-match ODI series and a five-match T20I series in December. The ODI series will begin on November 30 in Ranchi, with the next two matches scheduled for Raipur (December 3) and Visakhapatnam (December 6).
The T20I series will start on December 9 in Cuttack, with the following matches set to take place in New Chandigarh (December 11), Dharamsala (December 14), Lucknow (December 17), and Ahmedabad (December 19), where the series finale will be played.
