Lt Gen VK Chaturvedi (Retd.)- A highly respected and experienced Army General who is the first from his family to join the Indian Armed Forces. He was the beacon which encouraged and motivated many from the next generations to join the Armed Forces. The officer’s journey through his Army career spanning over 40 yrs is a saga of great learning, motivation, valour, brotherhood and courage. The Officer has been awarded the Sena Medal ( gallantry) for his courage and gallantry in the 1971 Indo Pak War and is also the proud recipient of Ati Vishisht Sewa Medal ( AVSM) for outstanding services to the Nation by the then President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in 2007 and Param Vishisht Sewa Medal ( PVSM) for his outstanding services of exceptional order by the then President of India Mrs Pratibha Devi Singh Patil in 2011.
