Associates of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Rohit Godara and Goldie Barar, have claimed responsibility for the crude bomb explosion outside a bar in Gurugram’s Sector 29. The claim was made through a purported social media post, where they accused the bar owner of earning illegal profits, evading taxes, and harming the country.
The associates issued a warning, stating that the recent explosion was a minor demonstration of their capabilities and threatened larger attacks if their demands were not met. The police have confirmed that the social media post is under investigation.
Arrest Made
The Gurugram Police arrested a suspect, identified as Sachin, in connection with the incident. Preliminary investigations revealed that Sachin, who was allegedly intoxicated at the time, had already thrown two crude “cotton bombs” and was preparing to throw more when police intervened and arrested him.
Scene Inspection and Recovery
Gurugram Police Commissioner Vikas Arora, IPS, personally inspected the site, and the bomb disposal team was deployed to secure the area. Two live crude bombs recovered from Sachin’s possession were successfully defused.
According to the police, the explosion caused minor damage to a scooty and a signboard near the bar, but no injuries or casualties were reported.
Investigation Underway
The police are investigating the motive behind the attack and any possible links to organized criminal networks. The involvement of Lawrence Bishnoi’s associates, as claimed on social media, is also being scrutinized.
The incident has heightened security concerns in the bustling Sector 29 area, which is a popular spot for nightlife in Gurugram.
