New Delhi (India), December 15 : Bangladesh has announced their squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against the West Indies, set to begin on December 16 in St. Vincent.
Fast bowler Nahid Rana, 22, has been included in the squad for the first time in this format. Having represented Bangladesh in six Tests and three ODIs, Rana is poised to make his T20I debut. The pacer played a key role in Bangladesh’s historic 2-0 Test series win in Pakistan, claiming 20 wickets in the longest format, and has taken four wickets in his ODI career.
Currently on an all-format tour of the West Indies, Bangladesh had a mixed outing in the previous series. After drawing the two-Test series 1-1, they suffered a 3-0 defeat in the ODI series. The T20I series will begin on December 16, with matches scheduled for December 18 and 20, all to be held in St. Vincent.
Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batter Shai Hope and left-handed batter Sherfane Rutherford have been excluded from the West Indies squad due to their commitments in the Big Bash League (BBL). Rovman Powell will once again lead the 15-member squad for the T20I series.
