Singer and rapper Badshah quickly put an end to a growing controversy by strongly refuting claims that the Dallas leg of his “Unfinished USA Tour 2025” is linked to a Pakistani corporation in any way. The clarification came when the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) wrote to the artist to say they were worried about the alleged partnership.
On Monday, Badshah’s management team and the tour’s promoters, Intense Entertainment, talked directly about the claims. Their statement made it clear that the tour is being run “through a US-based event agency operating under fully transparent contractual terms.” They named Manish Sood from Intense Entertainment as the only person in charge of promoting the tour and handling all of its logistics.
The statement said, “Badshah is still determined to use music as a bridge for cultural exchange and unity, making sure that his work is not affected by politics in any way.” It further said that the musician “is not privy to nor involved in any financial arrangements beyond those explicitly outlined in his performance contract,” which shows how committed he is to “professional integrity.”
The event’s organizers also put out their own statement. They said that they hired an event management business to help with logistics on the ground, but that organization is “a U.S.-based firm.”
The FWICE’s rigorous rule barring Indian artists working with Pakistanis is what caused the uproar. This rule was made even stronger after the Pahalgam terror attack in April. The film organization had already asked actor Kartik Aaryan for more information about an event connected to a Pakistani-owned restaurant. They had also brought up their worries over Diljit Dosanjh’s movie with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir.
On August 16, Badshah’s lawyers gave FWICE a full explanation, which seems to have pleased the film body for now. Badshah is now focused on his forthcoming tour, which is a symbolic sequel to his 2024 US tour that was suddenly canceled because of problems with the promoters.
