Tiger Shroff’s return as Ronnie in the highly anticipated Baaghi 4 is facing an uphill battle at the box office, with advance ticket sales showing a lackluster start. The film, which is the latest installment in Shroff’s most successful franchise, is set to release this Friday.
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film had sold only 1.27 lakh tickets across India by Thursday afternoon, generating a gross collection of ₹3 crore for its opening day. This represents a low occupancy rate of 4-7% in most major cities. The slow pace of pre-sales has also been noted for overseas bookings and for the rest of the weekend, suggesting that audiences may be waiting for word-of-mouth reviews before committing to a ticket purchase.
Comparing to Recent Releases
This slow start is particularly concerning for an action-packed film like Baaghi 4, which typically relies on a strong opening weekend to set the tone for its theatrical run. The pre-sales for Baaghi 4 are significantly behind other recent tentpole releases, such as War 2, which had a first-day pre-sale of ₹20 crore.
Even more surprising, Baaghi 4 is lagging behind the romantic drama Saiyaara, which featured newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. Despite being a film without a major star, Saiyaara had a strong advance booking of ₹9.40 crore, a figure Baaghi 4 may struggle to achieve.
