The much-anticipated romantic comedy sequel, “Pati Patni Aur Woh Do,” starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan, is officially slated for a theatrical release on March 4, 2026, coinciding with the Holi festival.
The film’s producers, T-Series and B.R. Studios, announced the date on Saturday with a social media post featuring the movie’s title and release details.
New Cast, Same Director
Pati Patni Aur Woh Do serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2019 box-office hit Pati Patni Aur Woh, which featured Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday, and Bhumi Pednekar.
Taking over the lead role is Ayushmann Khurrana, who will be joined by a multi-star cast of leading ladies, including Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh in pivotal roles.
Filmmaker Mudassar Aziz, who directed both the 2019 hit and the recently released Khel Khel Mein, is returning to helm the sequel. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Renu Ravi Chopra, and creatively produced by Juno Chopra.
The makers’ announcement post read: “Gulshan Kumar, B R Chopra. T-Series aur B R Studios laa rahe hai ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’. Directed by Mudassar Aziz. Holi 4th March 2026. Only in cinemas.”
While plot details remain under wraps, the new ensemble cast suggests a fresh comic take on love, marriage, and the chaotic dynamic hinted at in the film’s title. The original 2019 film was a commercial success, revolving around a man caught between his wife and an attractive young co-worker.
