“Ayodhya Is for Everyone—We Will Shower Devotees with Flowers”: Iqbal Ansari Sends a Message of Brotherhood on Ram Navami

Ayodhya, April 6: As tens of thousands of devotees descend on Ayodhya to celebrate Ram Navami, the city is witnessing not only spiritual fervor—but a beautiful display of communal unity. Members of the Muslim community, led by Iqbal Ansari, a former litigant in the Ram Janmabhoomi case, are preparing to shower devotees with flower petals as a gesture of respect, peace, and brotherhood.

“We are residents of Ayodhya, and everyone who comes here is our guest. This land has always symbolized Hindu-Muslim harmony. There is and will always be brotherhood between us,” said Ansari, speaking to ANI.

Calling Ayodhya the land of Ram and Hanuman, Ansari emphasized how Ram Navami has been celebrated here for centuries.

“Today is a festival, a mela. Everyone—Ram, Hanuman, and all devotees—are respected here. We will welcome them with flowers. Ayodhya is a place of purity, devotion, and mutual respect,” he added.

This act of communal solidarity reaffirms the Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb, the age-old ethos of cultural syncretism in India.

Visuals from Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir show the temple decked out in flowers and dazzling lights. Devotees took holy dips in the Saryu River, offered prayers at Hanumangarhi, and lined up in huge numbers for a glimpse of Ram Lalla on this auspicious day.

With the inauguration of the Ram Temple earlier this year, the emotional and cultural significance of this Ram Navami has been elevated to a historic level.

Meanwhile, tight security arrangements have been made in Ayodhya, with barricades and a massive deployment of personnel to manage the festive crowd.

Even President Droupadi Murmu extended greetings to the nation on the occasion:

“Lord Shri Ram, the epitome of dignity, presented the highest ideals of sacrifice, commitment, harmony, and valour. My good wishes are that on this auspicious occasion, all countrymen resolve to work unitedly for the construction of a developed India.”

As Ayodhya shines in divine light and shared values, it’s clear that the spirit of Ram Navami 2025 is not just about celebration—it’s about togetherness.
