Multi-Layered Security at Ayodhya Dham
Speaking to media, Circle Officer Ashutosh Tiwari detailed the extensive preparations aimed at safeguarding the thousands of pilgrims flocking to the holy city.
- Zonal Division: The entire Ayodhya Dham area has been partitioned into specific sectors and zones, with dedicated police teams assigned to each to prevent overcrowding and manage traffic.
- Tech-Driven Vigilance: Police are utilizing a network of high-definition CCTV cameras and drones to monitor sensitive locations and temple entry points in real-time.
- Strict Traffic Enforcement: All incoming vehicles are being thoroughly screened. In a specific drive, police are removing illegal black films (tinted windows) from cars and using breathalyzers to catch those driving under the influence of alcohol.
- Route Diversions: To prevent bottlenecks near the main temple complex, several traffic diversions have been put in place for private vehicles.
Bhopal Follows Suit with Strict Norms
The security fervor isn’t limited to Uttar Pradesh. In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, authorities have launched a parallel crackdown to ensure safe celebrations.
- Bar & Restaurant Checks: ACP Manish Bhardwaj (MP Nagar) confirmed that bars and restaurants are being inspected. Operators have been given a strict “lights out” deadline for the night of December 31.
- Narcotics Watch: Intensive vehicle searches are being conducted at city entry points to prevent the smuggling of illegal liquor and narcotics during the festive period.
